Mr. Maitra is an authority on the complex and fast-evolving regulation of crypto assets and other cutting-edge financial technologies.
Prior to his return to private practice, Mr. Maitra served as the crypto and fintech specialist in the Division of Trading and Markets at the Securities and Exchange Commission. As one of the agency’s key experts, he advised on a range of crypto issues and developments, including initial coin offerings, broker-dealer regulation of crypto asset companies, crypto-based exchange-traded funds and private funds, decentralized finance, and innovative trading platforms.
